First Visit

Our process for your first visit is focused on determining how Dr. Vlad can help you and then beginning the process of healing. Adjustments are not miracles, but what the body can do is miraculous!

Please dress in casual attire that allows you to move freely.

Paperwork

When you schedule your first visit, we will either email you your new patient paperwork or ask that you come in 20 minutes early for your appointment. Upon entering the office, you will be greeted cheerfully and if not already completed, we will provide you with your paperwork to fill out. The paperwork provides us with comprehensive information about yourself and your health history.

Consultation

The chiropractic consultation focuses on the nerve system and the spine which protects it. The spine protects the brain stem, the spinal cord and the spinal nerves. Normal transmission of nerve impulses are vital to the function of your entire body.

Once your paperwork has been completed, you will have a consultation with Dr. Vlad. He will discuss chiropractic, and your health-related problems, concerns, as well as potential treatment options.

History and Examination

In order to determine what your actual problem is, Dr. Vlad will ask you specific questions related to your condition. Next, a number of specialized tests including mobility, orthopedic, and neurological tests will be performed to determine which tissues are affected and to what extent.

X-ray Studies

Dr. Vlad performs spinal X-rays to either rule out more serious conditions or assist him in developing the most effective treatment plan for you.

To see is to know, not to see is to guess and Dr. Vlad will not guess with your health.

Same Day Treatment

Once finished with the examination and all appropriate studies, if Dr. Vlad determines it is safe to begin treatment, you will be provided with your first treatment. This may include spinal adjustments by hand or via the Activator Methods Protocol, physical therapies, and/or soft tissue therapies. You will recieve a complete report of findings on the same day or the following visit. At that time a program of care will be presented for your acceptance.

Home Instructions

Prior to leaving, you will be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be conducted at home. This may include ice or heat application instructions, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and/or stretches.

Schedule Your Next Appointment

You will be given a convenient appointment time for your follow-up visit. Generally speaking, patients are seen within 1-2 days and are provided with a complete review of findings. Dr. Vlad will go over your exam and review your X-rays with you. This is a great time to ask questions and learn about what your body is experiencing. Dr. Vlad will present your treatment plan and discuss your options moving forward. Dr. Vlad's goal is to empower you to make the best decision regarding your treatment and to guide you on the path of healing.
